A closer look at the star’s stunning jewellery obsession: Emma Watson’s ear cuffs

It’s pretty much a fact that Emma Watson is always flawless. She’s perfected the art of looking on-trend without being overly trendy and has an air of elegance other young starlets could only dream of achieving. Of course, the downside to all this elegance is that we usually only see Watson when she’s working—no tabloid cover scandals for this actor. Thankfully she’s been out and about quite frequently over the last few weeks, promoting her latest film, Noah, and we don’t need to tell you that she’s been killing it on the red carpet.

Her two most recent red carpet looks, from the New York City and London premieres, involved simple, sculptural dresses in solid colours. In New York, Watson wore a black, long-sleeve Oscar de le Renta gown from the Fall 2014 collection. A deep-cut, open back kept it from being too mature a look for the 23-year-old—who was quoted this weekend as saying she can’t wait to age. (Lol, okay.) Today in London, Watson stunned in an all-white Ralph Lauren Collection silk column gown. Both looks are top notch, but what really has us on board with Watson’s style are her stand-out accessories.

Basically: those ear cuffs, guys! Watson’s actually worn ear cuffs a number of times on the red carpet, starting with a stunning set by Repossi which she donned last May at The Bling Ring premiere in Cannes. In New York for Noah, Watson’s ear cuff of choice was more of a winding chain of yellow gold and diamonds, centered on her ear, by jewellery designer Ana Khouri. She paired it with a rose gold bracelet, matte black nails and a whole mess of delicate stacking and third knuckle rings. (Also, extra beauty props for Watson’s bright orange lip!) In London today, Watson wore a yet-unidentified smaller chain-style ear cuff, paired with a more traditional cuff ring at the top of her ear. When it comes to ear-adoring, more really is is more. That being said, we need to get ourselves to a jewellery store, pronto.

Mahira Khan agree to work with Ranbir Kapoor

Mahira Khan is a very well-known Pakistani drama and film, the actress has got a chance to work with one of the famous Pakistani drama actors like Humayun Saeed and Fawad Khan. She was also a part of the Lollywood Blockbuster movie “Bol” that was directed by Shoaib Mansoor in 2011. Her work in the movie was valued and she has been appearing on the ramp from time to time.

Her drama serial “Hamsafar” was the big hit in Pakistani Drama industry and has opened infinite doors of success for this young talent.

Reportedly, Mahira Khan is in India for last couple of weeks and has many film offers on her hot plate right now. It is in the air that the gorgeous Mahira will appear as a co-star with Ranveer Singh under the banner of “Yash Raj” upcoming movie. Only the time will tell whether this news is going to turn into reality or will just remain news.

However, she has something else going on in her mind, what’s that????  Mahira Khan has a desire to work with the heart throb, super talent Ranbir Kapoor, though earlier she has said it many times that she would not go to Bollywood and she is happy working for Pakistani Television industry. Additionally, she said that if she gets an opportunity to work along with Ranveer Singh, she might take the offer.

March's most fashionable:Emma Watson

This March Emma Watson has graced the Oscars ceremony, posed at the red carpet premiere of Noah in Berlin, Madrid and New York, squeezed in a sitting with talk show host David Letterman, staged Twitter takeover for MTV and sat patiently during a separate Twitter Q&A. A lady of leisure this 23-year-old is not.

Throughout the press junkets, photo calls and premieres Watson has retained her reputation as an interesting one to watch in the style sphere (she wasn't asked to guest edit fashion glossy Wonderland back in January for no reason).

Sure she might play it safe with heartbreakingly beautiful dresses by Wes Gordon and Oscar de la Renta, but there is always a carefully calculated twist to her looks. Ear cuffs, which Watson started championing during the 2013 promo tour of The Bling Ring, continue to punctuate her outfits, while multiple silver rings creep up her fingers (the nails of which have been painted a don't-mess-with-me black).

READ: Does Emma Watson really own just eight pairs of shoes?

Even the actress's airport looks have garnered nods of approval in Telegraph Towers. Where other actresses hide behind bumper shades and forgiving overcoats (who knows what's going on underneath?), Watson has given us satin skater skirts, chic knitwear, beige macs and many a polished brogue.

Lest not forget that the former Harry Potter starlet also remains a die hard fan of the jumpsuit; a tricky garment to execute but which suits her petite frame down to a T.

Sonam say's "The bikini was my idea, not Aditya Chopra's,"

You'd think that Sonam Kapoor is only carrying forward the illustrious Yash Raj legacy by getting into a bikini for Bewakoofiyan. After all, we've seen number of Yash Raj heroines from the old Sonam in Vijay (1983) to today's Sonam Kapoor in Bewakoofiyan don the bikini.

But Sonam springs a saucy surprise by saying the bikini was her idea. "It wasn't the producer Aditya Chopra or the director Nupur Asthana's idea that I wear a bikini. In fact, the director suggested a one-piece bathing costume. But I thought a bikini was fine. If you see the trailer there are two young people going for swim. It's perfectly natural for the girl to be in a bikini. It's not Halle Berry in a James Bond film or Bipasha Basu in Dhoom making a splash. The bikini blends naturally into the scene. And I am very happy to be wearing one. Having a female director around helped. But I wasn't really tense about wearing a bikini."

Sonam's father Anil Kapoor has apparently said that Sonam's bikini shot would get Bewakoofiyan a good opening. Sonam completely refutes any such statement from her father. "My father never said that. All that I said at a press meet was that my father feels the film would get a good opening. That statement found itself bonding with the bikini in the newspaper headlines. I've realized I have to be very careful in what I say. I speak my heart out. Such honesty is not appreciated in the film industry. Instead, it is twisted and distorted. A lot of what I say is lost in translation."

Sonam is very happy to have done a frothy feel-happy film like Bewakoofiyan. "Finally! I've been doing too many intense films from Saawariya, Delhi 6, Mausam and last year there was Raanjhanaa and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. After doing Bewakoofiyan I realized I hadn't done any conventional films at all."

Bewakoofiyan helped Sonam to relax. "I needed to unwind, just have fun doing a role. Also, some of my films have taken longer to be completed than usual. This one took only 40 days to shoot. It wasn't a marathon race but more like a quick run. It was chicken soup for my soul. It was a very easy smooth slip-in-slip-out kind of shoot. I never realized when we started the shooting and when it ended."

The other factor that Sonam found relaxing in Bewakoofiyan was the rom-com format. "I have two heroine-centric films Khoobsurat and Dolly Ki Doli lined up. Before I went into these films where I had to shoulder the film's weight, I needed to do something where both the leads had equal responsibility to share. Bewakoofiyan was liberating."

The film's sensibility is very close to Sonam's personality. "Bewakoofiyan is a frothy American rom-com kind of film about urban kids. Since both Ayushmann and I are urban youngsters it was relatively easy for us to identify with the situations in the script."

Remind her that Ayushmann is from Chandigarh which is not that urbanized a background and Sonam protests, "Oh, you'll be surprised at how urban Chandigarh has become. I've shot there recently. Believe me, it is no longer a small town. And besides, Ayushmann has spent most of his life in Delhi. So his sensibilities are very urban. I had great fun shooting with him."

Are shoppable videos the future of fashion?

The fashion world is made of trendsetters, early adopters, and well, we’ll just skip all the rest. Without us, sneakers would be for gym use only and wearing white after Labour Day would still be considered taboo. When it comes to technology, recent developments (Opening Ceremony’s collabo with Intel for one) have shined a light on our innovative knack as well. But amidst all this forward thinking, one element still has a big question mark hanging over its head: video. First came the fashion week livestream. Then came the fashion film craze. Now, there’s another burgeoning fad: the shoppable video. What does it all mean for fashion’s tech future?

In 2012, Ssense launched the “world’s first shoppable music video” starring Iggy Azealia, Diplo and Fki in the shopping site’s designer wares. Since, its been tried by Gucci, Juicy Couture and last year, added as a functionality on Youtube. And while one would think this technology would have major retail implications (if someone had given me the direct path to Gwen Stefani’s bindi, lord knows I would have traded my life’s savings), the shoppable video still seems like somewhat of an enigma. Are people actually clicking?

According to Google, 1 in 3 shoppers use Youtube to shop for apparel and 4 out of 10 people who watch a shoppable video will check the items out online or in-person.

Recently, Sport Chek partnered with YouTube for a shoppable video featuring Team Canada athletes Jon Montgomery, Maëlle Ricker and Meaghan Mikkelson in Olympic performance wear. “Our goal was to create an online experience that combines our brand messaging and product support in a more dynamic way for the customer,” says Frederick Lecoq, VP marketing and e-commerce at FGL Sports Limited (The umbrella of Sport Chek). “Our use of experiential videos was so successful that we’re already looking for the next evolution of shoppable integration–one that creates an even more seamless connection between Sport Chek’s brand and the products we sell.” Did it work? “Canadians have responded well to the shoppable video and it has surpassed our expectations from a measurement perspective—three times the average click through rate of the average digital media banner,” he says.

Adding fuel to the fire, LVMH-owned content site Nowness launched a balletic shopping video this week featuring dancers moving through looks by LVMH-owned brands Maison Martin Margiela, Haider Ackermann, Kenzo and Louis Vuitton. It’s a creative feat that gives readers insights into fit amongst other vibe-y qualities. It’s also a pretty slick way of tying it all back to monetization, while keeping things interesting.

So, are there silver screen fashion automats coming to a mall near you? With so many big named businesses behind the shoppable video, its rise seems inevitable. However, as demand for high quality video production also rise, it remains to be seen whether such intricate works of tech art will become mainstream.

If the future is defined by the past, here’s hoping Clueless is shoppable.

Fariha Pervez Sitting with Verstile Talented Artist

Fariha Pervez is one of the leading female singers of Pakistan. Fariha started her career with anchoring and acting from a very young age on PTV (Pakistan state television channel). She also co-hosted a popular children’s music program “Aangan Aangan Taray”. After the release of her debut Album. “Nice n Naughty”, her song “Patang Baaz” (a.k.a Bo kata) became a super hit. Her musical career took off and she there onwards decided to focus solely on singing.

Today we are here  with our dear and loved one Fariha Pervez.

Exclusive Interview with Nice n Naughty Patang Baaz Fariha Pervez

By khabardar TV’s Reporter Maria (Islamabad)

Fariha if you get a chance to judge future singers in Pakistan Idol will you go? And how do you see Hadiqa , Ali Azmat & Bushra Ansari as judges?

Fariha: If I was called as a judge I would have joined. All of them are unique and well experienced known names of the industry who have been there in the industry since quite a long time.

Fariha as female singer how you handle hurdles in you sinning career?

Fariha: Being a female media person it is very difficult to carry one as I find my personality unfit for the showbiz. I am a realistic and a down to earth person and I try not to bring fakeness to my personality. It is very very tough but when you have support from your family things become a bit easier.

What career  would you be in if not in singing?

Fariha: I would have been a teacher or a doctor if I wasn’t a singer.

Do you like singing in other languages then Punjabi? Ever thought to sing in English?

Fariha: I enjoy singing in different languages other than Punjabi and Urdu. I have also sung in Pashto and every now and then I perform one of the folk numbers in my concerts. Who knows may be I’ll work on an English number next.

How was the experience of performing in Jogi Coke Studio Season 6?

Fariha: It was quite a different experience and I loved being a part of Coke Studio Season 6. I loved the blend and the fusion as Jogi is the qawali that I have been listening since forever. Performing with Alamgir sahab is another great experience which I will remember forever as I consider it an honor that I performed with him. I also had the chance to perform live in Turkey with Sumru Ağıryürüyen and Turkish musicians all thanks to Coke Studio and Rohail Hayat. I learnt a great deal from it and loved the experimentation and the different kind of a sound.

Do you think being Courteous is bad in the music or showbiz industry?

Fariha: There is nothing too courteous. This is how I am. Respect should be given to those who deserve them. I have always respected my seniors, my colleagues and my fans and I always will. Because in the end it is all about respect and you earn it by being respectful to others and doing your best in your line of work.

Do you regret that your Teenage years are not how you wish it to be and what advice you give to teenagers about life?

Fariha: I don’t regret anything because I always tried to live in the moment whether it was my teenage years or now. And I would advise the youth to do the same. Learn from the past. Live in the present and be prepared for the future.

Your father wanted to become a singer but family didn’t support him. What do you think which singer he sounded like?

Fariha: As I have mentioned quite a few times that singing was always in my genes as my father had that passion and craze for singing. But his family opposed. I wouldn’t compare as each and every singer has his own unique voice which makes them stand out among the lot.

Fariha what do you love other than music?

Fariha: Just singing, music and good food.

Any Celebrity crush?

Fariha: None.

What is the Best advice given by your fans?

Fariha: Everything will work somehow. So no need to worry just live in the moment and let ALLAH do what is best.

When did you start singing?

Fariha: Music is in my genes and singing is my passion from my childhood. I have performed in various events at school and college levels. My debut song was released in 1996 but I have sung a few tracks for Ptv before that.

What genre of music you cannot listen at all?

Fariha: I listen to anything which is melodious regardless of genre, language or country boundaries.

What do you enjoy more, writing music or lyrics?

Fariha: I don’t write lyrics. I only concentrate on my singing and let the experts do their job :)

If  you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?

Fariha: I mostly cover most of the genres already like pop, folk, classical, semi-classical, ghazal and geet. I think that’s pretty much enough.

Who are your favorite singers?

Fariha: Sajjad Ali, Asha Bholse, Nayyara Noor, Mehnaz Begum

What do you think when you are performing?

Fariha: I always try to give my best while performing whenever I go on stage and try to enjoy myself when I am performing because when I am enjoying performing then my audience will also enjoy the music.

What else can we expect from you in the future?

Fariha: Lots of new things and projects including my new album.

How do you feel when you get comment on your songs?

Fariha: It feels good when a listener gives feedback on my work. If it is positive feedback and compliments I love reading them and if its criticism I try to take it positively and try to do my best to make more good music.

Is performing outside Pakistan feels any different than performing in Pakistan?

Fariha: It is a great feeling and experience wherever I perform no matter if it’s in Pakistan or outside Pakistan. I have performed all over the world. Pakistanis living in different countries miss Pakistan so much that when I perform for them it’s an unbelievable and unexplainable feeling. They give so much love and support that boosts my performance and my spirits even more.

Do you teach music?

Fariha: No I consider myself a student I cannot call myself a teacher while there is so much left to learn.

What advice would you give to beginners to deal with nerves during performance?

Fariha: Just try to give your best and sing from the heart. And keep practicing because in the end it is only practice which will lead you to become the best in your skill and career.

Do you get nervous before a performance?

Fariha: Ofcourse I do become nervous before my every performance even now as my each and every performance is different from the rest. But when I am on the stage and start performing concentrating only on my singing and performance my nervousness goes away.

How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

Fariha: No one is perfect and as humans we make mistakes and mistakes happen every now and then. I do my best to cover it with performing my best. I do sometimes make mistakes because I perform almost all kind of genres and in them I not only perform my own songs but I do get the honor of performing the golden numbers of legends and also attending to the requests made by the people in the audience so it is hard not to make a mistake. But when you and your audience are enjoying the performance it all ends well.

Do you listen to old records & tapes? Who do you like to listen?

Fariha: I have always listened to the old classics of Madam Noor Jahan, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mehdi Hassan Khan sahab, Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, Ustad Baday Ghulam Ali Khan. The list will go on as there are so many legends who are great maestros. One can learn a great deal just by listening to them.

Pakistani people show you much love and support, what would you like to say to Pakistan?

Fariha: What I am today is because of my fans that love and support me all the way. For Pakistan I am just going say one thing. I am thankful to ALLAH that I am a Pakistani. If I wasn’t born as a Pakistani then I would never want to belong to any other country. I am proud to be a Pakistani and I always will be.

Setting Hannah, Adam, and Jessa Up for the Home Stretch:Girls' Recap

We have 2 episodes left to travel during this season of ladies, which implies everyone's story is getting {down to} wind down to a conclusive purpose. on solidifies the immediate future for Hannah and Adam (and not in a very notably promising way), and tosses Jessa alittle bit nearer to all-time low.

The Hannah and Adam Story

Two weeks back, we tend to compared the Hannah-Adam arc of Season three to the romantic story of Spike Jonze's Her. Not a very perceptive analogy, since Her is as blanket as a moving-picture show regarding love and relationships will get, however our predictions ar valid with the last word conclusion of the most recent episode, "Role Play." Hannah goes out drinking (excessively) with work friends, returning up succeeding morning to the shock that Adam was too engulfed by his play to even worry regarding what might need happened to her. All this and a dismissive morning angle and his apparent embarrassment once she showed up to observe his rehearsal equates to Hannah deciding to do and "spice things up" between them, instituting AN elaborate role play situation within which she gets into bit with the dark patterns a Hannah and Adam of past times accustomed fancy.

But things transgress once Adam is pained and defer by the try, maybe victimization the ordeal as a vehicle to access feelings he looks to own been fun for a while: he needs out. a minimum of quickly. As such, corroboratory not simply our predictions however Hannah's worries from earlier this season, Adam says he wants time except for her to devote himself to his art, opting to remain with Ray (Ray! which means he'll be back!) for a short while.

We don't expect Hannah and Adam to create it to the tip of the season, part as a result of this new flip and part as a result of each season premiere sees her waking in bed with a distinct partner (first Marnie, then prophet, then Adam... who's next?).

The Jessa scenario (with a little of Shoshanna wet in)

Jessa has not return terribly off from wherever we tend to found her at the start of this season — though she cleansed up for a short while, she ne'er absolutely embraced the problematic nature of her addiction and her approach to life generally. This week, the unlikely voice of reason that Shoshanna has become confronts Jessa and opaque gem (Richard E. Grant) by shocking the 2 with a visit from the latter's female offspring Dot (an substance Felicity Jones).

Jasper virtually breaks down, initially resisting his daughter's pleas for affectionateness however step by step returning to her (and his own) defense once Jessa accosts the each of them. The conclusion of the union sees Jessa while not even the person WHO fostered her voyage into medication, together with her habit presenting itself as less of a drag than her addiction to pushing folks away.

And whereas we tend to leave Jessa in a very dark place at the tip of the episode, it's maybe the depths to that she required to fall so as to climb copy. She finally accepts her temperament — she has got to — currently that even her cousin-german, WHO once adored her particularly else, has seen her for her appearance.

The region of Marnie

I'm a member of the terribly distributed Marnie camp, however her flip on looks notably barren of interest. She would possibly become Soojin's (Greta Lee) assistant at AN picture gallery, despite her feelings that such work is demeaning? a lot of significantly, Marnie is clearly harboring feelings for Adam's pal and fellow actor, the spirit walker Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), however solely per se that she very needs him to be interested in her, as Marnie has known herself as valuable only if she is attracting men. Desi clearly cares for Marnie in his encouragement of her song-writing and creative thinking, however he's dedicated to his girlfriend. Sadly, she takes this as a rejection and spirals deeper into her pit of despair.

So there we tend to ar. everybody feeling happy?

Chelsea Handler and Ronan Farrow at the 92nd Street Y

Chelsea Handler, best-selling author and highly successful comedian and television personality, took to the stage of the 92nd Street Y to discuss her new book, Uganda Be Kidding Me, with journalist and humanitarian Ronan Farrow. The release of her fifth book has been highly anticipated, since four years have passes since Handler published her last title, Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me. As the proud owner of her four books, you could imagine my excitement when it was announced there would be a signing after the discussion at the Y for anyone in attendance. To no one's surprise, the theater sold out of every copy of Uganda Be Kidding Me.
